When I‑PACE was revealed as Jaguar’s first all-electric SUV it signalled a vision of a clean, safe and sustainable future for Jaguar’s vehicles. With the electric car described as ‘inevitable’ by Jaguar’s Director of Design, Ian Callum, it’s no surprise to see more and more electric vehicles on our roads.

For many of us, deciding to make the switch to an electric vehicle is a big decision which requires some consideration. Understanding how an electric vehicle will fit into your life is an important factor and a key part of the decision process. This is where Go I‑PACE comes in.

Go I‑PACE is an intelligent app which helps you experience life as a driver of I‑PACE before even getting behind the wheel.

While I‑PACE has a maximum range of 470km*, meaning that 98% of trips in the UK could be completed using just a fraction of the battery’s charge, range is unique to each driver’s journeys and driving habits. It is exactly this kind of information that Go I‑PACE was developed to identify and use. By collecting and analysing data as you drive your regular journeys, Go I‑PACE calculates key statistics such as battery range and delivers them to your device, giving you a clear picture of your life as an I‑PACE driver.

It is not just range that Go I‑PACE can deliver statistics on, but other elements of EV life such as the potential cost savings you could make when switching to an electric vehicle, the location of your nearest charging points and how often you may need to charge your battery.

Go I‑PACE works by using your device’s location service to log individual journeys. Thanks to its advanced technology, the app can even distinguish between different modes of transport to ensure the information it’s using is accurate.

Another key stat Go I‑PACE delivers from your journey data is the potential cost savings you could make if you switched to an I‑PACE. This figure is generated using real world fuel and energy costs from accredited sources and your current car’s fuel economy, so it’s fully tailored to you.

If you’re interested in finding out about charging points, Go I‑PACE’s interactive map also allows you to search for them either along a specific route or in a chosen area, for example near your workplace or gym.

As part of the unique picture built by Go I‑PACE using information about your journeys, you’ll also be able to see how much battery would be used per trip and how many charges would be needed to cover your recorded weekly mileage. The intelligent app even shows how many journeys, if any, may require you to stop and recharge along the way.

*Fuel consumption: N/A. CO2 Emissions: 0 (g/km). EV Range: Up to 470km. EV range figures are based upon production vehicle over a standardised route. Range achieved will vary dependent on vehicle and battery condition, actual route and environment and driving style. EV range figures are based upon WLTP (Worldwide harmonised Light vehicle Test Procedure), the new process that has been phased in from 2017, which measures fuel, energy consumption, range and emissions in passenger vehicles in Europe. This is designed to provide figures closer to real-world driving behaviour. It tests vehicles with optional equipment and with a more demanding test procedure and driving profile.
